Yep. Probably looking at an hour delay

A third baseman has to make that play.

Three out of four isn't bad.

Is there a point to wacha having a red hat and others white?

The pitchers can’t wear white hats. It might hide the ball

Their pitcher sucks more than Wacha.

That's a really tough pitch Goldschmidt just hit.

Yeah, the pitchers for all the teams that are wearing white have their regular caps on. The Cubs decided to ditch the white caps all together and everyone wore blue.
It's mostly been home teams wearing white, and the visitors are wearing all black, except the Pirates wore black and the Reds wore white.

If Yelich hits a home run here, I'm going to scream.

Brewers lose!
Cubs are tied in the ninth, with the Nashnils threatening ..

Cubs are wearing white hats today.

That ball needed to clear its flight plan with the FAA. Yikes.

There’s zero doubt in my mind Matheny would have left Wacha in there to try to complete the 5th, and the score would’ve been 7-5 or worse before he changed pitchers.

113 pitches to get 14 outs.

Did Carpenter just go from first to third??

Cubs lose! Cubs lose! Cubs lose!

I wonder how Feyward feels about this. The Cubs aren't as young as when he hitched his star to them, and he needs something like 70 more plate appearances to get another shot at opting out this year. Be a shame to see his legendary talent languish in mediocrity...again...LOL. But I'm not bitter.

Brebbia walking guys with a 7-run lead ...

Imo, just knock it off. Just a ploy to sell more uniforms.

It works. If you look at clips from the 1982 World Series, the people in the stands are wearing pretty much what they would wear to a barbecue on a Saturday afternoon. These days, you can't go to a game if you're not wearing a replica uniform and/or a hat. It's the height of tribalism.
And look at clips from the 1967 World Series. Almost everyone in he stands is a white guy dressed in a white shirt with a dark tie.

It looks like Heyward is owed ~$100 million over the next four years. Even though he's having his best offensive season since his year in St. Louis, he's going to have a hard time finding someone to pay him that much.
Metrics indicate his defense is starting to slip. He hasn't won a Gold Glove in two years, and for the first time in his career his defensive runs saved is a negative number.
But, in any event, Fuck Heyward.
