The omens have begun to speak, and it looks very good for the Cardinals chances in 2011. The PD's two main sports columnists, Jeff Gordon and Bernie Miklazs, are the yin and yang of the Cardinals. Jeff has his pom-pons and roots the team on. Bernie is the angst-y whiner who points out every conceivable problem. When Bernie sounds sagacious, the Cards suck. But if Gordon makes the better read, that means the Cards are doing well.
Today's story from Jeff Gordon is one of his best in a long time, meaning: "HELLO 2011, Cardinal Nation!" Now, someone please show me a piece by Bernie where he sounds like a whiny complainer with a forcibly relaxed anal sphincter and I will bet the farm that the Cards will rock and roll in 2011.

Remember that image years ago , reading Mario Puzo's , " The Godfather " , you knew a successful "hit" had been made by rival mafia hitmen when Puzo ended the murder with ,"an his sphincter relaxed .
Sorry Max, this could be a new thread topic !

I'm not taking Gordo seriously anymore after that column last week when he wrote the Cardinals should maximize Berkman's at bats by playing him in games only when there are going to be runners on base.

Are you sure about that? I haven't read that, and it sounds implausible. Maybe someone has twisted his words a bit . . .

Maybe he is just saying to sit him vs left handed pitchers since the Cardinals dont have baserunners during those games.
