On Sunday, Bob was getting treatment on his back after Saturday’s game. Later that night I asked him how his back felt and his answer was, “my back’s fine. The only pain I have is that half of my teammates are Braves fans and I’ve been talking trash all week.”

He should be just about to start practice. I hope he’s smart enough to wait until after practice to start talking. No reason to invite a cheap ahot from a teammate.

Excellent!!!  Idk what team the cards match up against in a better way.  Anytime the cards can avoid a west coast trip it is a good thing.

I went to bed thinking the Cardinals were heading to Los Angeles.
At this point, I almost feel badly for Clayton Kershaw because he's so awful in the playoffs. Almost.

If you haven't seen it, you'll want to find the video of Soto's HR. Kershaw ended up in a Brad Lidge-like fetal position on the mound.

I actually felt a little sympathy for him because I know how it feels to watch a pitch you've just thrown get clobbered. 
Funny thing, though. I didn't feel any sympathy toward Lidge when Pujols took him deep. Maybe it was because right before that happened Brandon Backe was flitting around the Astros' dugout popping imaginary corks off imaginary champagne bottles.
