One good inning and this is the inning to do it. Top of the order needs to get to work.

That 7th could have been the last nail in the coffin. Need a breakout soon.

Thought the Cards might be able to take advantage of Hudson's absence tonight. Not looking that way right now.

I hate when broadcasters clearly know nothing about the team they’re reporting about. Yes, they scored 13 runs on Wednesday. They also went thru maddening stretches throughout the year when they couldn’t hit. This isn’t a shock to anyone who watched this team.

The guy who said that is the Brewers' regular pxp guy. I think he was just trying to keep people from turning to the 11 o'clock news.
But your overall point is valid. The worrisome thing is these offensive slumps the Cardinals have tended to go through this season last several days.

Yep. And the post-season tends to magnify good pitching and offensive futility. I won’t be upset if the Cardinals lose because IMO they’re already playing with house money. They were fortunate to even make the playoffs and they were probably the worst of the 8 teams to make the LDS.
You still play the games because stupid shit sometimes happens, but they aren’t/weren’t one of the best 4 teams in baseball. In fact, if you look at the 3 remaining teams, they’re pretty far behind all 3 of them.

The cardinals seem to have the ability to hit a teams ace and fail against the back end guys. Tonight is make or break for my hope.
