The Cards picked a fine time to stop sucking.
I disagree with a few comments from yesterday that the Cards defense looked like they were mailing it in. Pujols looked to home before going to first, and suddenly discovered he had a play that was more difficult than he was going to be able to make.

Thru 6 innings the perfect game went a couple of innings ago, no-hitter is gone . Come on Adam let's pitch a shut-out . (88 pitches ) and over managing by TLR could be factors .

End of seven 0-4, . . . that's Houston over the Reds.

So, I guess we're six back . . . again.
I wonder what Reds record has been in the month of September. Are they even playing .500 ball?

Month by Month (Reds)
Split W L RS RA WP
April 12 11 106 126 .522
May 18 11 162 117 .621
June 14 13 118 116 .519
July 14 12 129 86 .538
August 19 8 148 126 .704
September 7 10 71 67 .412 (Not sure if that includes today's game)
But we can't take advantage (We are only 8-10 for Sept.)

"7 10"
Thanks. That's about what I thought. If ever there was a team ripe to lose their lead it has been the Reds. It just makes our suckiness all that much more offensive.
"(We are only 8-10 for Sept.)"
and take away the padres and we are 5-9, a .357 WIN PCT while in the hunt for a divisional crown?!?
