Re: 04/11 gamecrap

I'll take "Believe it or Not" for 500 dollars.

And the answer is: Daniel Descalso, Jake Westbrook, and Yadier Molina.

Um, things that have a higher OPS than Albert Pujols.

That is correct.

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

I'll take "Believe it or Not" for 1000 dollars.

And the answer is: Kyle Lohse and Gerald Laird

Um, the set of all things with a non-zero OPS that is lower than that of Albert Pujols

Again, that is correct.

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

You're dwelling on negativity. He just extended his league lead in GIDPs.

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

Johnson tagged one pretty good, but other than that, KMac was pretty good.

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

So I signed up for EI and my reward is I get to listen to Gracie and Durwood spout cliches and pretend this is the first baseball game anyone has ever watched.
"With two outs, you want to drive in that runner from second base ..."

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

When Bloomquist was picked off, Gracie said "You want to be careful against former relievers, because they're used to pitching out of the stretch with runners on base ..."

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

David Freese mashes a Bob Enright fastball, but Holliday and Berkman look like they just faced Drysdale.

They are making Enright look like Bud fucking Norris.  18 pitches in 2 innings.  I was think this would be a good team to run up the pitcher counts.  Pujols, Berkman and Holliday are all amoung the best of taking what pitcher give them.  Of course all the DP are not helping.

McCellan is barely keeping some of these in the park.

That's why you need three people in the booth.

#1: It's two out and a man on second
#2: With two outs, you want to drive in that runner from second base ...
#3: Interesting, expand on that.

McLaughlin was not shocked because McClellan was a good hitter in high school.

"Interesting, expand on that."

I'm guessing that he was trying to say tha if there's a runner on second with two outs, the batter is trying to drive him in.

Re: 04/11 gamecrap

I dont know that Jimmy "the cat" Hayes would be interesting as a color man for a whole game but for one inning I find him interesting.

It looks like there's something going on, but they're talking about Grace's kid hitting for the cycle in a t-ball game.
