Wade Boggs?!?
Vin is all over the place tonight. He called Garcia "Molino," and keeps referring to Descalso as "Danny."

I won't feel comfortable about this game until after Mattingly has burned Miles off the bench.

Thumb. I had to look it up. Why do Cubs' fans think everything is about them?

The Dodgers look like the Cardinals of August 2010.

Cormier's throw to second just now is the worst play I've ever seen a major leaguer make.

Good golly they are raking.

They are mostly stupid.

"I guess Matt thought it might have looked a little high"
like, six inches too high. Kemp did well to keep his temper.

That Jay is a punk who couldn't carry Colby's jockstrap when it comes to defense.

Jon Jay is a GOD!

Is that the Jay who you predict will be this year's Bo Hart?

Kemp crashed into a wall tonight. He didn't make the play, but at least he cares.

Miles rolled over on an outside pitch. I've never seen him do that before.

Miles is wearing #6. Further evidence the Dodgers will never forgive Steve Garvey for signing with San Diego.

Franklin against 3-4-5. This could get gross.

I'm glad someone else noticed.

can he pitch himself into a save opportunity?

So, I think Tone is going to have to subtly make Franklin the white flag/victory cigar.

78 mph breaking pitch dead center of the plate. How in the world did Kemp hit that?

that's the one. a disciplined overachiever who plays decent D and surprised the league with one month of .400 ball before mlb pitchers and random chance catches up with him, and he winds up a .250-.270-ish hitter. a good guy who most everyone with heart can root for, but probably won't have the future in mlb that he seemed to have during that one brilliant month.

No, but by only giving up a 500 foot home run, his ERA went down.

He's apparently improved. A few months ago, you had him hitting .240.

I think my main point was that he would be the new Bo Hart, who has a lifetime BA of .272. He batted .400 for a month, and then crashed, such that he was batting below .270 in latter part of his career.
Pujols was batting .143, but that doesn't make him a .143 hitter. I suspect there will be times when Jay is batting down around .240 as he's at .267 right now.
