Was it just me or did Holliday look like he was about to give birth to an appendix heading into second.
Hey look who just got the go-ahead RBI. I'm not sure I've ever seen Berkman go to left field in this park.

Nice move by Holliday to get to second base and set that up. The astros have some weak armed outfielders. I would test them everytime.

I'd have to go back and look, but Berkman might have as many RBI in April as Artie and Max projected him to have for the season.

I think he had 16 rbis and 6 HRs before today.

"And WTF is Larussa doing bring Albert up with a base open."
Interesting game management, I'll say. If Pujols can play the last two innings, why can't he play the first seven? Did Mr. Miyagi do that thing where he rubs his hands together and heals an injury?

OK. Let's see what Boggs can do without any cushion.

Obviously Hamilton is first to go when either Craig or Schumaker come back, but if Descalso goes down when the second one comes back, I'm flipping a double bird toward Dewitt and the stadium. I might even drop my pants and shake my dick at him just on principle.
i'd be really surprised if descalso is sent down anytime soon. greene has earned his trip back to memphis, and jay, were it not for one really good month last year would be high in contention for a trip back to AAA as well.
if it becomes really uncomfortable, from a personnel management standpoint, they'll manufacture some injury. but i think there's almost no chance descalso gets sent back the way he's been playing D at 3b and 2B.

this season is the shakiest molina's ever look on D. i've seen two passed balls that a younger molina would never have missed.

Hard hit grounder gets through and then a Molina passed ball. followed by a miss play by Boggs. He could have already had two outs right now. Instead the game is about to be tied. All I have to say is , FUCK.

um, take his eye off the play and drop a bunt, allowing the runner to advance, safe all round.

He is just lazy. The steal was a good heads up play though. It is like he just tries to pick his moments.

Jay's probably safe because of his outfield defense.

i think my most extreme serious criticism was that he'd be out for the season by the ASB, which could still happen.
it is true that i didn't expect him to be effective at all, and thought his career was over. but it may be that the knee injury/surgery /he'll get better hypothesis was true. kudos to whoever scouted that out correctly.

I wonder how Pitch FX measures the movement on a 46 foot pitch?

The Astros have had the lead-off runner reach base seven consecutive innings. That's pitiful.

He's been lazy.

Fuck it. I'm still pissed that Motte wasn't brought in earlier. Or at least Sanchez or Salas. Someone that could throw a goddamn strike.

Please. That one's on Boggs. The catcher can't be blamed for a ball that bounces in the grass.
