How has Craig looked at second?
I'm not watching the game, but the box score suggests he came out, and Punto went in, somewhere around the 6th. He did start a double play.
Punto went in for defensive purposes in the bottom of the sixth.
I don't think I've seen Mark Hamilton hit the ball out of the infield yet.

Bolder prediction: . . . after which they fire La Russa in his sickbed and promote Pettini to full-time manager. Craig gets the nod as starting 2B. Duncan quits, takes a job in Minnesota and leads the Twins to a World Series. La Russa forms a traveling burlesque show with Lindsay Lohan called "La Lilo!" which eventually settles down for a steady run at lesser known Reno casino.

After leaving a rehab stint in Palm Springs, Paula Abdul meanders her way north and by chance takes in "La Lilo!" She develops a family-friendly version that becomes a Broadway smash hit. The rights are eventually sold to Disney, which then produces a movie that goes on to win five Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Brandon Fraser in the title role. Fraser briefly becomes the most sought-after star in Hollywood, but his resurrected career is suddenly cut short when he dies due to an overdose from a lethal mixture of amyl nitrate and pineapple juice.
Meanwhile, La Russa sues Disney for theft of intellectual property. Acting as his own attorney, La Russa wins a directed verdict and is awarded treble damages, including all of Disney's theme parks. As a committed animal rights activist, La Russa's first act as steward of Disney World is to release all the wildlife from the Animal Kingdom park, but the maneuver backfires when a cheetah runs amok, mistakes a family of four outside a Publix in downtown Kissimmee for a herd of Thompson's gazelle, kills them and eats them.
La Russa is sued by the victims' surviving family members, is forced to sell his interests in the theme parks to pay off an out-of-court settlement, then returns to the Cardinals' dugout as their manager.

While this is pretty precise, will this happen before or after the Cubs are mathmatically eliminated from postseason in 2011. For full credit you will need to give me a strong time estimate for thi... well nevermind it would appear the Cubs are already mathematically eliminated. I'll give you half credit.

Not to cut into all the fun, but did any of you see this?
It's only May, but it ceratinly appears this team isn't as tightly wound as some of the recent teams. And I mean that in a good way.

Lohse took the lineup card out to the umpires wearing a Larussa jersey, with his hair styled like Tony's and shades. As he came back to the dugout, pretty much the whole team was cracking up.

Anyone else hear Brenly barely hide his contempt?
"... anything to lighten the mood."
