From what I understand, people are pretty disappointed in Cox so far. He didn't start showing power up until a couple weeks ago and he was striking out an awful lot for a 22-year-old at High-A. For someone who earned the label as "best college hitter in the draft" last year, he's not setting the world on fire.

Why move him up then? I'm not being a wiseass. I'm asking if you've read anything that would indicate a guy with whom they're disappointed would warrant a promotion.

They're fast-tracking him to the major leagues is my guess. He did sign a major league deal and has a spot on the 40-man, so I think that might influence their decision-making.
