Lineup is the same. Garcia vs. Cahill.

Cardinals break out and score about a dozen runs ...

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

OK, so it'll take an inning or two to measure Cahill ...

Brenly is the world's biggest douche. Seriously.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

To much is taping tonight for me to watch.  If it is still a game ill tune in later.  Hopefull there is still a point by then.  In the mean time ill just check the box scores.  That may be less frustrating anyway.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

This ballpark can't hold too much off Honus Kozma's bat.

If Darvish throws a perfect game against the Astros, does it count?

Jeezus. The third incredibly stupid baserunning mistake in the first 12 innings of the season.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

I heard Al bitching about the Cardinals scoring 0-2 runs 44 times last season. Maybe he should've added that no NL team was held to that many runs fewer times than the Cardinals.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

Fox is reporting Ludwick needs shoulder surgery. Bad break for a good guy. Fortunately, it's not the shoulder on his throwing arm.

I'd take Al's bitching over what I'm getting. In an effort to get Phoenicians to realize there's still a major league baseball tea in town, they're pimping the park tonight. So in between outs, and sometimes in between pitches, I'm getting footage of the interactive batting cage and fat kids stuffing themselves with hot dogs at the all-you-can-eat buffet.

Carpenter rushed that throw. Craig isn't a good first baseman.

There's a pretty good chance we see this happen again in 2013.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

Jesus is Holliday fucking strong. You're not supposed to hit that pitch that hard or that far.

How the hell did Holliday hit THAT pitch out?

Not sure. I know he had to do some time because it was his second DUI. And Durwood Sutton got canned last year because he popped off about how lousy Fox Sports is while he was on the air. I don't know who the new play-by-play guy is. He's not bad, bit he's not good enough to overcome Brenly.

I think so. He's finding the name "Gracie" takes on a whole new meaning behind bars.

Re: 4/2 Gamecrap

One thing about Garcia tonight is he seems more composed. If Carpenter had made that error any other year, Garcia would have started dancing around the mound and looking into the dugout. He came back with some really good, smart pitches to Marte. I think he struck him out without throwing a pitch in the strike zone.

Huffington Post, 1/31/13

PHOENIX (AP) — Former Arizona Diamondbacks television analyst Mark Grace has been sentenced to four months in jail under a work-release program.

The 48-year-old former first baseman with the Diamondbacks and the Chicago Cubs pleaded guilty Thursday to felony endangerment and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol.

Grace was arrested last August in Scottsdale — his second drunken driving arrest in 15 months — and could have faced more than three years in prison. He had pleaded not guilty in October to four felony counts of aggravated DUI and was scheduled to go on trial March 19.

The Diamondbacks fired him as their analyst after the August arrest but later invited him to participate in a fantasy camp.

A Maricopa County Superior Court spokesman says the jail sentence begins Feb. 10. Grace must also serve two years of probation.PHOENIX (AP) — Former Arizona Diamondbacks television analyst Mark Grace has been sentenced to four months in jail under a work-release program.
