Amazing that Ray Lewis was able to play linebacker for so long in the NFL with wings instead of arms.
I'm sure Ray Lewis, who is unhindered by genius, will convince himself there's no irony in his comments.
But, to address your question, Ray probably would have had a couple of his buddies off Mrs. Rice, not inside the casino, but in the parking lot outside of it.
Hypocrisy is nothing new to that organization, though. When the original Browns were still in Cleveland, NFL Films put together a documentary about Al Davis. One of the people who was interviewed was Art Modell, who said he was disappointed the Raiders moved to Los Angeles without first getting permission from the other owners in the league.
 

Not all domestics are like that AP. I had an ex girlfriend that said we were done. I said okay. She said she was leaving, I asked if she needed help packing. She said she was taking the computer, I said no you're not and stood in the doorway to the computer room while she kicked a hole in my wall, and punched my face and chest about 15 times. Then she called the cops, and told them I hit her.

There's a difference even with domestics between a man and a woman getting physical, and an NFL player knocking a woman out like that.

Well the conduct policy deals more with a players actions bringing the league into disrepute. Rice actually plead to the felony, and worked a deal that will have it removed, but he was "convicted" in this case. Not that he needed to be.

For the issue that occurred, and your questions? Women are taught from birth that it's despicable for a man to strike them, same as men. So while we're doing everything we can to not strike them, they are doing everything they can to infuriate us without any fear of getting hit. However, if she slapped him around a little? Grab her and push her away. If she spit on him? Dump her. You're the NFL star, she's a piece of ass. Walk away, and she just lost access to her multi-million dollar boyfriend. He could have just kept pushing her away from him. 

You can't lose it like he did there, he seriously could have killed the woman hitting her like that. Why? Because she spit at him and called him mean names? Is she asking for it? Probably. Is he a douche bag for giving it to her? Without question. Should he play football again? Maybe after 8 games.

And it is very wrong.  Besides sex crime probably the worst moral trait there is.  I just dont buy into the idea that if a women get hit everything she did to provoke it is forgoten.  In this case it wasnt.  She left in cuffs as well the way i read it.  Thats the right call.

Thankfully im not married to a women that crazy.  They are all alittle crazy tho.  Here is a great scientific tool in figuring out if you could ever be in a situation that could put u in jail.  Thankfully my wife isnt a hairdress, redhead or named tiffany.

Alz, I get where you're coming from and understand that's how most people are raised. AP and I come at it from different perspectives. I would guess that I handled between 1,500-2,000 domestics in my time at the police department, and you quickly learn that the notion that a man should never hit a woman goes out the window pretty quickly. If she wants to throw a punch like a man, she can take a punch like a man.

In law enforcement, the term "primary aggressor" is used to determine who goes to jail in a domestic. That can be the woman, even if she ended up getting the worst of the fight.

My reaction to the video was the same as AP's. I understand the public's reaction, but I'm not personally that shocked by what I saw.

I know this is a long read, but it's worth it. The part about Bisciotti texting Rice with a job offer seconds after the Ravens announced he had been released is one of the most astonishing things I've ever read.
