    I guess I should rephrase. I believe this is a newly formed rec league team. The pitcher they used lay inning looked like she was pitching slo-pitch softball. She has about an 8 foot arc.

    Back when I used to cover high school softball, that used to be called a "meatball pitcher."

    Really, he's a disgrace to umpiring. Between him and Dale Scott I can't recall being more aggravated by the pure theatrics.

    You really don't appreciate Brian Anderson until he's gone. The guy who's filling in for him this weekend keeps getting Lance Lynn and Adam Lind confused.

    Great managing by Roenicke. Let Fiers hit in the bottom of the inning and then take him out after he throws one pitch in the top of the inning.

    Last night notwithstanding, Scott is usually a pretty good umpire. Not great, but not bad. Bucknor is just flipping a coin back there. The only thing that keeps him from being the very worst umpire in baseball is the hair-trigger temper of Phil Cuzzi and complete indifference of Angel Hernandez.

    This is a disgraceful performance by Lynn. Six runs in five innings against a team that doesn't have its four best hitters in the lineup.
