Pissa. Just friggin' pissa.

"a team that has never played."
That's not a team. Techically, it's just a group of girls wearing the same clothes.

Welp. Lynn sure brought his A game today.

I guess I should rephrase. I believe this is a newly formed rec league team. The pitcher they used lay inning looked like she was pitching slo-pitch softball. She has about an 8 foot arc.

Lesser teams have smacked Fiers around.

Someone from the Cardinals is going to get ejected today.

C.B. Bucknor should be bagging groceries.

Back when I used to cover high school softball, that used to be called a "meatball pitcher."

Really, he's a disgrace to umpiring. Between him and Dale Scott I can't recall being more aggravated by the pure theatrics.

You really don't appreciate Brian Anderson until he's gone. The guy who's filling in for him this weekend keeps getting Lance Lynn and Adam Lind confused.

Great managing by Roenicke. Let Fiers hit in the bottom of the inning and then take him out after he throws one pitch in the top of the inning.

That Reynolds smash was nice.

Last night notwithstanding, Scott is usually a pretty good umpire. Not great, but not bad. Bucknor is just flipping a coin back there. The only thing that keeps him from being the very worst umpire in baseball is the hair-trigger temper of Phil Cuzzi and complete indifference of Angel Hernandez.

So the day after your ace goes down for the year and the opposing team takes out their two best hitters in an otherwise putrid and injury-riddled lineup, this is how Lance Lynn responds.

This is a disgraceful performance by Lynn. Six runs in five innings against a team that doesn't have its four best hitters in the lineup.

After shooting ourselves in the foot first three innings, I don't know who was more painful to watch, Lynn or Bucknor .

With often painful results. Nice grab, though. Especially for a guy playing only his second game in the outfield.
