Instead of calculating Heyward's batting average, the official scorer should keep count of how many outs he makes per at bat.

Interesting strike zone tonight. The plate has corners until the count gets to two strikes, and then the plate doesn't have corners anymore.

I didnt get to watch alot of tonights game but garcia looks to have gave them a decent outing.
It could have been a lot worse, AP. He didn't really settle down until the fifth inning. His command was spotty, and there must have been a dozen pitches that missed the strike zone by a mile.
That being said, the Diamonbacks can hit, and the Cardinals made a couple of errors (one of which should have been his, but I think ended up being charged to Reynolds). He kept his composure for the most part. At least I didn't see him doing that dance he used to do when things didn't go his way.

Yeah, a walk might as well be a home run in that situation. I'm inclined to cut Bellemeyer a little slack, though. He never should have been out there for a third inning.

Nah, it's pretty serious. Matheny seemed concerned during the post game. Luckily for the Cardinals Adams is terrible. No big loss.
