Someone has to pitch. You take into account the extra warmup pitches, but you don't have to cover these guys in bubble wrap. Except Garcia. I wouldn't let him walk across the street. He'd probably get hit by a bus.

He gave up seven runs in two innings today.
On the plus side, David Ortiz is hitting again. Whenever Dan Shaughnessy writes a column in the Boston Globe that Ortiz might be done, about two weeks later he goes on a power binge. I wonder what that's all about?

Thanks to both of you. This was akin to a 75,000-mile tuneup. In by 9:30 a.m., home by 2:30 p.m.
But I got some good painkillers out of it.
