I don't think a rightfielder playing centerfield makes him a good fit. But it's not going to matter. Heyward is going to spend the entire year on the DL after overdosing on the toxic fumes of the goat shit that emanated from his mouth yesterday.

I've heard Soler's name mentioned most often in trade talk.

They would surely be trading for pitchers but outfield wise does stumpy (cant spell his name) fowler and heyward strike you as a better overall deal then stumpy, fowler and soler?  Price tag included I dont think so. 

And to be honest heyward would have been an improvement for the cards because he is a known quantity but piscotty looked very promising.   

Maybe im just tryijg to convince myself 2016 isnt going to suck.

I'm perfectly content going into the season with an outfield of Holliday, Grichuk and Piscotty, with the obvious concerns about durability. As has been stated repeatedly, they still need to improve their offense, if that's their outfiend trio. If Holliday is amendable to a move to first, as Fors has suggested, they could go out and get Upton or Gordon. Gordon really doesn't give them much of a boost offensively, however. 
Or they could address offense with an upgrade at first by signing Davis, and hope that his 2014 season was an outlier, something with which I don't agree completely. 
The Reds have supposedly made Bruce and Frazier available via trade. There will be a lot of interest in Frazier, and if the Cardinals acquire him they could move Carpenter to first and have him play third, or they could move Frazier to first. You could move Piscotty to left and Holliday to first for Bruce, who would be fine defensively, but his offensive numbers have been awful the last two years. And you wonder about any power hitter coming from that joke of a ballpark in Cincinnati. How many of those home runs Frazier and Bruce have hit at GABP are flyouts in a park with real dimensions?

Moss figures into things as well.  Both at first and the corner outfield positions.  I think there is a good chance he hits 15 to 20 hrs in 350 to 450 at bats. 

I prefer holliday at first full time if he can play the position because he is a upgrade offensively there and whoever plays lf is an upgrade defensively their.

If they trade i hope they target a 3rd baseman and move carp back to second.  Wong can be featured in the trade

In all sincerity. I recall reading something after the season about him being hurt or playing with pain. Which makes me even more concerned that Moz traded for a guy who was injured.

I believe it was known he was coming off a hip injury.  He is still a 20hr threat.

Molina had a 2nd surgery on his thumb.  Apparently it wasn't healing after the first procedure.

Not to fear. The Cardinals' medical staff says he'll be ready for Opening Day.

That would be the same medical staff that were supposed to fix the problem the first time they operated.

On the bright side, when he returns after the All-Star Break it will be just like we traded for an All-Star.
