Leake vs. Wojiecheviczkowskimentzsteinski
Game is supposed to start at 6:40 local time. They must want to get it overwith so the 5,000 folks who actually attend can make it to their weekly Friday night barn dances afterward.

I looked on the Reds' website and found out there's a concert after the game with some person named Florida. Which until three minutes ago I thought was the state directly to the south of Georgia.

The Reds have a ton of promotions. Tomorrow they're giving away Raisel Iglesias bobbleheads, and you can also buy into a special Elvis Presley package that includes an Elvis bobblehead. It doesn't say whether it's the sleeker, younger version of Elvis or the fat, sequined Elvis who croaked on his toilet, though.
Sunday they're giving away something called a Jose Peraza Fathead, which one would think would have been more apropos when Dusty Baker was still with the team. It's also "Library Day." The first 10,000 fans who can prove they're not illiterate get free ear buds from the Cincinnati Public Library. I'm guessing there will be some leftovers.

Yes. There's a sign on the front door that reads "The book is in/out" they flip over when appropriate.

If the monitor malfunctions, am I legally obligated to replace it?

Five pitches from Leake and the Cardinals are behind.

Didn't the Cardinals have a hard time hitting this guy the last time they faced him?

Didn't take long for Carpenter to be moved back to the leadoff spot.

Winker has a long neck.

Just remember , it doesn't matter that the Cardinals can't hit Wojo-whatever, a computer algorithm told Dewitt this team should be in first.

Piscotty sucks.

Keep swinging for the fences, guys. Because that approach has worked so well for you tonight.

You guys have Bob's Discount Furniture stores in Missouri and Illinois? I thought they were a New England chain. We bought bedding there, and got a pretty good deal, but I'd never buy any of their furniture. Zach was about 10 when we went there. He pointed to an item on the sales floor and asked me what it was. "I believe that's a wooden giraffe, pal."

Grichuk can't take a called third there. He just can't.

I haven't checked the standings in a while, but based on Iglesias' reaction, I'm going to assume the Reds just clinched the Central.

It's over for DeJong. They've figured out he can't hit a slider.

God apparently was rooting for the Reds tonight.

Didn't see tonight's game . Had a choice between watching the game or helping my neighbor chainsaw a tree down . It was an easy decision .

I love it!!
The ways these guys celebrate (except of course for Votto) makes me wonder how long it would take Paul Brown to suffer a stroke if he tried to coach (or manage) today. I don't know if they still tell the story about the time he had a young running back score a touchdown and go into something of a celebration (whatever the rules permitted at the time). When the back got to the sidelines Brown reportedly walked over to him and said, "Son, the next time that happens, try to act like you've been there before."

He picks and chooses and cares very much about baseball.
